Our History

Coming from a large family of Brandon farmers for 4 generations, the succession of “James Poule” is well assured with the involvement of the two sons, “Stanley” and “Alex”, being the fifth generation of farmer now the activities of the “Farm D and J Poule”, well known in Brandon for the last twenty years.

Originally located on Des Miles the acquisition (in 2001) of a huge abandoned land with its soils rich in organic matter and endowed with several trees and forests that protect plantations.

The new land located at 1900 Rang St-Louis, Saint-Gabriel-de-Brandon in Quebec required a lot of landscaping and clearing work in the early years. But the quality of the site and the richness of the soils were worth the hard work.

This acquisition allowed the company and the “new generation” to expand and thus allow many customers to offer much more diversity in our fruits and vegetables. Many of which are offered in “self-picking” either: strawberries, raspberries, round and Italian tomatoes, eggplant of several colors and varieties, red peppers, several varieties of hot peppers, Spanish onions etc.

Not to mention the layout of our large kiosk where it is possible for our customers to find an “Inner Market” . The “Poule Farm” offers a wide range of products grown on this land, already picked for you every morning. You can also find our “House Products” and a nice assortment of regional products. All available in season, 7 days a week “Beautiful weather – Bad weather” at our “Inner Market”

The “Poule Farm” also supplies fresh fruits and vegetables to many public markets, fruit shops and wholesalers in Quebec and Ontario. The “Poule Family” invites the population to come and live a beautiful experience in nature while discovering fruits and vegetables produced while respecting the environment and nature of our soils on an enchanting site well lined with trees and beautiful streams.

Welcome to all of you.
